iPhone 15 launch: Apple apparently plans huge “stock sale”

The iPhone 15 will appear in September. And Apple is already reportedly expecting the iPhone 14 successor to be a hit.

iPhone 15 launch: Apple apparently plans huge “stock sale”

  • Apple ordered around twice as many displays from its contract manufacturers in June as it did for the iPhone 14 at the time.
  • Apparently, the manufacturer expects particularly high demand for the new models, with a "super cycle".
  • This is reported by the Chinese website ITHome.
We already have a good idea of what the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro will look like and what the differences to the iPhone 14 will be. Of course, official information from Apple will not be available until September. At the moment it doesn't look like the big hit - but Cupertino apparently sees it differently, expecting a super cycle.

Apple, therefore, assumes that a particularly large number of people will buy the iPhone 15 in 2023. So that there are no longer long delivery times for the release, the iPhone inventor should take precautions with a remarkably high number of display orders. As Display Supply Chain Consultants reports, Apple is said to have ordered twice as many displays this June as in the same period of 2022 for the iPhone 14.

Citing insiders in the supplier industry, ITHome also reports that Apple wants to pre-produce 89 million iPhones by the end of the year and build up large inventories from which the Apple Stores are supplied. For comparison: With the iPhone 14, Apple "only" had 78 million units pre-produced.

The signs indicate that Apple will primarily increase the number of Pro variants of the iPhone 15. You can read everything we know about the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max in the linked overview article.
